IMAGE SIZE: 8" x 10"
YEAR: 1988

ABOUT THE IMAGE: "Where's the beach? Kids will find Disneyland Hotel's Papeete Beach, complete with white sand and swaying palm trees, the perfect place to sun, swim, build sand castles and play volleyball. The 60-acre Southern California resort features three swimming pools including the Olympic-size Sierra pool."

In 1988, The Walt Disney Company finally bought the Disneyland Hotel, which had been formerly been owned by The Wrather Corporation (Jack Wrather, Bonita Granville’s husband). Disney bought the Wrather Corporation and began a big push of advertising the hotel as a complete vacation experience. This promotional photo was one of many sent to magazines and newspapers.
