ABOUT THE IMAGE: The Texas prairie can be a place of slow methods for a cowpoke cat. His days are spent roping an escaped mouse only to pull him back via an obstacle course of boot spurs the mouse gets caught on, planks of wood he hits his head with, and a cactus leaf on which he finally falls. The only release to this pain and humiliation is for mouse to slap cat with the same cactus leaf that has pricked him so thoroughly. After that, the inevitable vengeful chase begins ... But hold up, partner ... what’s this?

 A new girl’s just come on the ranch. And cowpoke Tom, after rushing to this lady’s side, uses cowpoke coolness to blow “Howdy” into the air, this trickery being not just of affected salutations, but created from a self-made cowpoke smoke sprinkled, rolled and finally licked by Jerry. Cute as this may be, Jerry wins in the end once another vengeful moment has Tom mistakenly roping a bull; an error for which his kitty backside pays very dearly. So it is to the little brown mouse that the spoils of a gorgeous Texas girl-cat go. Now that’s a big “howdy” for you!
