ABOUT THE ARTIST: Tom Matousek is a San Francisco-based, award-winning artist, who began his artistic journey by studying cartoons as a child and in a short time, could draw almost anything from memory. “I have lots of memories of staying up late with my brother and friends, watching Creature Features, and drawing anything we could get our hands on—the sports page, baseball and football cards, beverage cans, and cartoon characters. I would stay in my room for hours creating my own cartoons. From the time I was a kid, it was my dream to be a Disney artist.”
His meteoric rise as a prominent mural painter soon landed his artwork in the homes of professional athletes, high-end restaurants, and at AT&T Park, home of three-time World Series Champions, the San Francisco Giants. These commissions soon drew the eye of San Francisco’s world-renowned theater district, where Tom began a career in Set Design that ultimately led him, in 2010, to win a Shellie Award, the East Bay’s version of the Tony’s.
Most recently, Tom has painted for Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo, former SVP of Google and current Softbank CEO, Nikesh Arora, and TOMS founder, Blake MyCoskie, in addition to countless portraits of celebrities, world leaders, and global icons. With all of the famous faces to have graced Tom Matousek’s canvases over the years, it is only fitting that he now turn his deftly trained brush towards one of the most iconic faces in the entire world, Mickey Mouse, thus making his childhood dream of being a Disney Artist come true.
ABOUT THE FILM: Lilo & Stitch is a 2002 American animated science fiction comedy-drama film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It was the second of three Disney animated feature films that were produced primarily at the Florida animation studio in Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida. It was officially released on June 21, 2002, to positive reviews and was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 75th Academy Awards.
The film's story revolves around two eccentric and mischievous individuals: a six-year-old Hawaiian girl named Lilo Pelekai, who is raised by her 19-year-old sister Nani after their parents died in a car accident, and a blue extraterrestrial animal-like creature called Experiment 626, who is adopted by Lilo as her "dog" and renamed "Stitch". Stitch, who is genetically engineered by his mad scientist creator to cause chaos and destruction, initially uses Lilo to avoid being captured by an intergalactic federation, but the two individuals develop a close bond through the Hawaiian concept of ʻohana or extended family. This bond causes Stitch to reconsider and later defy his intended destructive purpose in order to keep his family together.

ABOUT:
Tom Everhart is a celebrated American painter whose work uniquely bridges the worlds of fine art and popular culture through his exclusive use of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts characters. Initially trained at Yale School of Art and later mentored by Schulz himself, Everhart transitioned from traditional illustration and architectural rendering to a bold, expressive painting style after a life-altering battle with cancer in the late 1980s.
"The "Posing" series did grow out of the previous "Hide and Seek" series that focused on the questions of one's attempt to hide their intellectual honesty in order to seek out a newly designed image... a "Poser" tsunami of posturing between who was being real, and who was obviously pretending to be real, often with the intent to deceive, could no longer be ignored." - Tom Everhart
