ABOUT THE IMAGE: This original production cel of Donald Duck comes from an episode of Disneyland, an anthology series that is has since been renamed The Wonderful World of Disney). The episode "Your Host, Donald Duck," aired January 16th, 1957. In it, Donald convinces Walt Disney to let him temporarily host the show and then goes on to broadcast "The Duckland 4 in 1 Show," where he goes through his own versions of the lands of Disneyland.
ABOUT THE MEDIUM: Original Production Cels are one-of-a-kind pieces of art that were used in the creation of an animated film or television show. Each has been hand-painted by studio artists on a piece of celluloid acetate, and has been photographed over a background painting to create a frame of the finished production.

Tom Everhart is a celebrated American painter whose work uniquely bridges the worlds of fine art and popular culture through his exclusive use of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts characters. Initially trained at Yale School of Art and later mentored by Schulz himself, Everhart transitioned from traditional illustration and architectural rendering to a bold, expressive painting style after a life-altering battle with cancer in the late 1980s.
