Orbik starts each piece with a pencil study. Then using models, vintage costumes and props, Orbik sets the scene and photographs it. Using these photographs and carefully crafted studies, he then meticulously renders the image in oil paints.
Orbik’s art instills memories of times gone by. From the clothes style of his characters to the inferences of love, romance and danger, his themes depict qualities that are almost of a film noir style.
Glen Orbik’s art has appeared in DC Comics publications such as “American Century,” “Pulp Heroes,” as well as in Superman, Batman and Flash titles. His art has also been showcased in Marvel Comics, Image, as well as Universal and Sony, in addition to creating art for Star Wars and the “Dungeons and Dragons” series. Orbik has also rendered many book covers, including Ray Bradbury and Stephen King titles.
Each print is hand signed by Glen Orbik.

ABOUT:
Tom Everhart is a celebrated American painter whose work uniquely bridges the worlds of fine art and popular culture through his exclusive use of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts characters. Initially trained at Yale School of Art and later mentored by Schulz himself, Everhart transitioned from traditional illustration and architectural rendering to a bold, expressive painting style after a life-altering battle with cancer in the late 1980s.
"The "Posing" series did grow out of the previous "Hide and Seek" series that focused on the questions of one's attempt to hide their intellectual honesty in order to seek out a newly designed image... a "Poser" tsunami of posturing between who was being real, and who was obviously pretending to be real, often with the intent to deceive, could no longer be ignored." - Tom Everhart
